Sterling is the home to Northeastern Junior College which has over 1000 residents. We love college students and desire for Emmanuel to be a home away from home for them.
We currently have a college girls group that meets on bi-weekly Sundays at 3:30! Contact Haley Smith if you would like to join or have any questions (903) 413-8747
We are also working on starting a co-ed bible study and are currently working on finding the best days and times to meet for our college aged students. If you want to join and vote on meeting times as we get this ministry running, please contact Dustin Smith to stay up to date as we progress! (970) 380-2072
The Lantern exists for the purpose of women walking together for God's glory through the Word and prayer: building strong relationships, using our God given gifts and desiring to see others come to Christ.
The Lantern meets every 2nd Monday of the month at Emmanuel from 5:30 - 7:30. Dinner is served at 5:30 followed by worship and a lesson at 6:30. Childcare is available if desired and food is provided for the children as well.
In addition to the monthly meetings, the women's ministry holds many events including but not limited to: craft/paint nights, Mother's Day Tea, Christmas party, shopping trips, meetings at the park, and more.
There are MANY serving opportunities within the women's ministry such as meal trains, prayer team, event planners & decorators and childcare workers, just to name a few.

Emmanuel believes that a church is only as strong as its men. We hold to a complementarian view of gender and understand the Bible to teach that men should be the spiritual leaders of their homes and their church.
We offer many opportunities for men to be equipped to lead. Every Monday morning at 6:00 A.M. the men's Bible study meets at Emmanuel. We also have recurring prayer breakfasts as well as annual conferences for all men and boys.
Missions is the heartbeat of Emmanuel. We give over 13% of our annual budget to evangelistic and missionary causes locally and worldwide.
As a church, we have adopted an unreached people group in India and have taken many mission trips to engage them with the gospel.
Internationally, we support a missionary family planting churches in an undisclosed area in South Asia. We support the work of IMD International, Christian Witness to Israel, and Go To Every Nation (GoTen).
Locally, we financially support Sterling’s Cooperating Ministries food bank and thrift store, Lighthouse Addiction Recovery, and The Caring Pregnancy Center.
We also support our church plant called The Well in Sidney, Nebraska.
We desire to be an Acts 1:8 church that advances the gospel in Northeastern Colorado and around the world.
If you are gifted with words of encouragement and it is your joy to lift others up, we have a spot for you!
Our encouragement team exists to lift up the people in our church community. This is an easy and meaningful way to let church leaders and other congregants know that you see them and appreciate everything they do.
If you would like more information or to inquire about joining the team, contact Sue Burton (308) 289-1140
Women all over the nation are finding out they are pregnant and they feel completely alone. They look to abortion as the answer because of fear of the unknown.
Fear can feel overwhelming and many women feel pressure to make a quick decision. They don’t know where to turn and they think their life and dreams are over.
The church can ensure that no single mom walks alone. When working together, we have all the resources and giftings to help her be brave and feel empowered to make a life decision. There are over 300,000 churches in America. Together, we can make abortion unthinkable. Through our support groups, moms will find community and know that they can have their baby and their dreams too.
The church is the answer. The church and willing volunteers have all the resources needed to help empower new moms to make life decisions. Through the Embrace Grace support groups, Emmanuel can walk with her and help her practically, spiritually and emotionally.
Embrace Grace exists to help inspire and equip the church to love and encourage single and pregnant young women and their families.
